Homework

Practice rhyming! According to the Ready! for Kindergarten curriculum, 'Nursery Rhymes are important!  Does this statement surprise you?  It surprised researchers.  Rhyming emphasizes the sounds in words.  Recognizing the distinct sounds that make up words is an essential skill of fluent readers.   Did you know that research suggests if your child  memorizes 6-8 nursery rhymes he or she will become a good reader?'

The Kinder Buddies have been learning simple nursery rhymes in class.  They are acting them out and excited to share them with you!
