3rd Grade Homework Expectations

Our Vision: "Together we succeed; NO exceptions, NO excuses!"

This year students are expected to LOG reading minutes!
Students should read a minimum of 100 minutes per week and practice math skills for a minimum of 60 minutes per week. (More information on math minutes after students have been taught the strategies-so, stay tuned!)

A simple way to achieve reading minutes is to read 20 minutes a day, 5 days a week. Reading minutes may include: you reading to your child, reading with your child (you read a page, they read a page) or your child reading to you! RAZ KIDS is another fun option for logging reading minutes!

As a working parent, I understand hectic schedules and sometimes CRAZY lives! I understand the importance of establishing good reading habits and fostering a love of learning! Students who spend time outside of school reading are successful and confident!

Please support your child by creating time to help them reach their reading and math goals! We are tracking every students' homework minutes and posting them in our classroom. Help your child feel SUCCESSFUL!

Thank you!
